Need SSN Index lookup/info for parentage for Verrel Joseph Hilliard, Butler, PA

I need a lookup of the social security death index for Leonard R. Hilliard who was born on 29 October, 1946 in Butler, Butler, PA. I have found a copy of his obituary online but it would be helpful to have a copy of the death index to verify the date of death. I am also interested in having information on who Leonard Hilliard's grandfather was. I have the names of his parents but no dates of birth/death/place where vitals occured and it would be helpful to have the names of Leonard's grandparents with the hopes that I can tie this information into the Stoops/Hutchison family line. My connection is through Catherine Stoops who married Henry Hilliard/Hilgert in 1841. Any information you can give to help me make this link will be much appreciate.
