hilliard from nc/sc

My grandfather is John C. Hilliard from Greensboro, NC. My grandmother is a Sossoman or Sossaman from the same area. If anyone has any info from this branch of the Hilliard tree please let me know. He has past in the recent 12 months and I am interested in any info that can be told.
