wife of James B Hilliard B. 1812

FAMILY LINE:Edna Carby (me) daughter of Lida Kemp Carby daughter of Grace Fish Kemp daughter of Mary Sims Fish daughter of Mary Hilliard Sims.This is where I have run into a problem.From Family records I know that Mary Hilliard Sims is the daughter of James B. Hilliard and Elizabeth.

Most of the Family trees I have come across show James' wife to be Elizabeth Savage Howell.However, according to Georgia marriage records he was married to Elizabeth Lewis and Elizabeth S. Howell married James Murphey.

Does anyone have any documentation to verify which one of these is correct.
