Kinchen Hilliard married Henry and Caroline Grace Mims' daughter, Elizabeth Mims.I am descended from Caroline's daughter Josephine, from her second marriage (John Butler).I have researched court records and have a case involving land that belonged to Elizabeth Mims Hilliard, apparently inherited through the Mims family, but filed on by Butler in the mid 1850's.The case was in court in the 1880's.There are several links among the families, and I'm trying to discover more information from other sources.A Hilliard is buried next to my great-grandmother Butler in Pensacola, FL, and there are other items making the connection that are too numerous and detailed to list.Elizabeth had a sister named Sarah who married a Piggott, who was also involved in the 1880's court case, as well as two brothers, David Cullen Mims and Thomas Mims.I'd like to hear from anyone who might help with these families.
