If one of your ancestors name was John Baptist Hilpert he
originated from Bavaria near the town NAGEL.The family
had a business in Leipzig,Saxony later on.
But I do not know whether your ancestors name was Baptist.
The name George Hilpert appears in our family line also.
But I am new too at this.
