Alexander Hilton, early KY
I'm trying to sort out the Alexander Hiltons that I find in early KY.I have an Elizabeth Hilton who married James Wilmoth Mar 11, 1803 in Nelson Co.An Alexander was surety for them, I need to identify him.
On Family Search, I find an Alexander Hilton and Sarah Anne Burns who had a dtr, Elizabeth, b. Mar 20, 1821, Nelson Co.no further info.
I was sent a .rtf file with Alexander Hilton, b 1772, d 1833.Md (1) Sarah Ann Wise (no ch listed, no dates); md (2) Anne Simpson, Nov 29, 1795, ch: Susannah, Thomas, Samuel, Catherine & Alexander, Jr.; md (3) Martha Sands Jun 7, 1810, Nelson Co.no ch. Listed
On the 1850 census, I find an Alexander Hilton, b ca 1800, wife, Nancy, ch: Ann, Carry, Malinda,Eliza and Julia.
I have, Alexander, Jr. b. ca 1805, md Mahala Wilmoth on Dec 25, 1825, Hardin Co., KY
Then, someone sent me info on a Alexander, Jr. who is not on the 1850 census, but his wife, Sarah is.She is age 55, b. PA with family: Sarah J., age 27; George W., 25; Martha L, 20;William W. R., 15; Leonard W., 9; Alexander, 7; James K. P., 5; William T., 5.
Can anyone sort these men out for me?I suspect several of them are the same man, but can't find any more out.
