John W(elborn) Hilton

John W. Hilton was born early in 1800's in Randolph County, NC.He 1st married Phoebe Cecil and had two children and 2nd m. Nancy J. Cecil and had several children.He left his family and moved to CA and received a divorce from Nancy Cecil about 1870 in Alameda County, CA.He is my Ggrandfather and I would like to know what happened to him after the divorce.Did he re-marry?Did he have additional children.When did he die and where is he buried.Someone please help me as I have been searching for about 40 years for him.
