Re: John Alexander Himes of Pennsylvania

I suppose it is possible they were related.My great grandfather married an Elizabeth Mellott (b: 1867) from Mansfield, Richland Co., Ohio, but I'm not sure where J.A. Himes was born and I don't know any of his relatives.They were married, lived and died in Hopewell, Fulton County (Now Bedford County), PA.There are only 2 aunts left in my father's family and one of them has Altzheimer's and the other is quite old and doesn't live near me so it is hard to get much information.I suspect he was probably born in the Hopewell area tho.I did come across a Levi Himes on the internet that looked promising and was going to check that line out to see if there was any connection but haven't done that yet.As soon as the weather gets better I am going home and check out the graveyeard where most of my relatives are resting and hope to get some pictures and dates.My father's name was John Himes Browell. If I come across any information on the Himes family I will be sure to get in touch with you to see if they are part of your line.
