Thanks for your message.As you can tell, my day job keeps me from checking these lists often!

Anyway, I have since found out that Berta Himmel was born in Lodz, Russia, present day Poland.Her family came to America in 1907 - her father was Adam Himmel and mother was Emily or Amelia Radke (or Franke).They lived in Philadelphia.So they are not from Germany after all.

Thanks for the tip on Himmels.I will try that, since I am stuck, trying to track down Adam....
