Thank you for some wonderful information.There is a lot there and I will need some time to absorb it all and come to revised conclusions.So I am not ready to say where Phoebe was born, but given Joshuabeing in NY in the 1790, 1800, 1810 and 1820 census, it is hard to think anything but NY.I have the detailed census for Hector for 1820 and Joshua is there.You have given me a lot of important new information and i will try to weave it in with what I already have.Many thanks.

PSTo be clear, does HHH state categorically that Joshua and Benjamin were living in Hector in 1795?Also, does HHH state that Lewis C. Hinckley was born in Albany in 1794?That seems to be what your post says.Thanks.
