I think you are correct about William Hinckley- he died in Bridgeport, 1857 and (I believe) is the same guy buried in the Hamilton Ave Cemetery. We still are having difficulty establishing that he is OUR William who fathered John Hinckley- our direct relative. His early days would have been in Hebron and we think he moved to Preston and established himself as a farmer. His son moved his family and him to the Bridgeport area about 1854 where he died in December of 1857. The old farm in Preston was sold off years later.

You mentioned an "on-line" site for Hebron in your message, what would be the web address for this on-line site? The Hebron Historical page has no listing for him or more importantly, William's children.
