Re: Thomas Jefferson Hindman/Iowa. Hi my name is Leannah. My family is from this line of Hindman's. Thomas J. married Margaret Nash and they had a son John Edward Hindman. Thomas remarried after Margarets death to her sister Martha Nash. Thomas was born around 1836 in Hamilton Co. Ohio (?). He joined the Civil War in Iowa, Marengo Iowa. He was 26. Enlistment date August 19, 1862, organization Co.B, Twenty-eighth Iowa Volunteer Inf. If this is your Hindman please contact me at my e-mail address.
