Tyrone, Ireland and died inWestmoreland Co.PA, and Agnes Linville, daughter of John and Ann _____ Linville, Conestoga, PA.David and Agnes were married 15 Aug. 1756 in Lancaster, PA by Rev. Barton.

John Linville Hindman Sr. was married 10 Sept. 1801 to Sarah Matthews b. 1779, d.8 April 1842.Both are buried in the Pisgah Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Corsica, PA.As to why he waited so long to marry, he was Irish and they have always married later--still do today.Also, notice the age difference.I descend through their son William Matthews Hindman, 25 Aug. 1806 to 24 April 1873, through the first wife Rachel Clough.

Parents of Sarah Matthews were Ezekiel Matthews and Martha Crawford.She is mentioned in Ezekiel's will as Sarah or Sally Hindman.Martha is not mentioned so presume she died previously.
