Thomas and Nathaniel Hindsley both married women named (Holford). I believe this name was really Alford (there were numerous Alfords in Maryland at the time. I have information on that family if you wish to have it. Alford was passed on as a first name among the Hindsleys (Hinesley, Hinsley) who migrated to North Carolina and Georgia. Later they thought the name ws Alfred. There was a plantation owner named Alford Hinesley in Chatham County, however on his tombstone he is listed as Alfred Hinesley.
