Re: Amos Hindsley (Hinesley): French and Indian War Rolls 1754-1763 DE
Thank you. I have never seen that document. Amos Hinsley bought a tract of land called Tanksberry in 1754, His wife's name was Patience. I have information that I can send you, if you contact me by email: [email protected]
Are you descended from Amos. I'm from a collateral line. My great-grandfather Daniel Hindsley married one of Amos' descendants Lavinia B. Hinsley. Send me you email and I will send you whatever I have. "Patience" is likely a Quaker name. My ancestor, and presumably Amos' Ancestor, Thomas Hindsley married a Quaker named either Elizabeth or Mary Cleave. I live in Massachusetts so I rarely get back to Delaware to check out the latest find.
Take care, Leonard
