What was the name of Cornelius's father in Chatham County? My great great grandfather, Elias Hinesley,left Chatham Count, N.C. after the settlement of his father's estate in 1834(?) along with his brother, William Hinesley, and bought land in the newly opened frontier of West Tennessee in Haywood county( Brownsville).These are all descendants of William Hindsley of Maryland.English immmigrant in 1638.
