Hello,

In looking at the book that has our geneology in it, which my dad's cousin put together, I find a James M. Hinesley born in Georgia in 1809. He was the brother of Alford who is one of my ancestors. Their fathers name was Thomas Hinesley (which is still a family name in our branch). Thomas was born in 1761 in Queen Anne Co., MD. Thomas was in the Revolutionary War from Chatham Co., NC in 1776 (Pension No:NC-S31746) He lived in Tattnall Co, GA where he participated in the Land Lottery of 1820, drawing lot # 5 in Early Co., GA. He was listed in the 1830 Federal Census of Carroll Co, GA. After his death on April 16, 1834, in Carroll Co., GA, his wife Franky ?? received his pension. They had 6 children.
James M. was listed as the second child and was born in Georgia in 1809.
I hope that this helps and fills in some holes for you. I am forwarding you message to my parents and they may be able to find out more.
Feel free to write again and let me know what you think.

Wendy (Hinesley) Zenor
