Ulysses Hinesley/ Fletcher Hinesley

This is my latest post concerning Ulysses S. Grant Hinesley (b NC; 1867-1951), an older brother of my great-grandfather, Alfred Dockery Hinesley (b NC; 1878-1934).He and his wife, Georgeanna, had at least 5 children: Cornelia Francis (known as Nellie Francis, b 10 Nov 1888), Lynn Lee (known as Lena, b 18 July 1892), Luola (b Mar 1889), Samuel (known as Sam, b 1905) and Lemuel (b 1908).Ulysses was in Walton Co, Fla at the time of the 1910 Federal census.Later, he moved across the Fla/Ala line to the town ofFlorala (Covington Co) where he, his wife, and his two youngest sons were listed in the 1920 Federal census.I think Ulysses lived out the remainder of his life in Florala.

1) Nellie Francis had a son, William Joseph BUIE, born in Laurens Co, GA in Aug 1926.Her last name in 1957 was McLEAN.She died in Laurens Co, GA (Rentz) in 1981.

2) Louola, whose married name was STAFFORD, died in 1926, and is buried in 8-Mile Cemetery in Geneva Co, Ala.Geneva Co. is next to Covington Co.

3) Sam lived in Laurens Co, GA (Rentz), and died in 1987.

4) Lemuel was 13 years old in 1920. I have no other information.

5) Around 1940, Lena's last name was BUSH, and she lived in Miami, Fla.In 1957, her last name was SMITH, and she lived in Jacksonville, Fla.I think she died in Laurens Co, GA.

Fletcher Hinesley (b NC; 1872-1926), Ulysses' brother, was in the 1910 Federal census for Walton Co, Fla (DeFuniak Springs).His wife was Cara A. Perry. They had at least 4 children who survived to adulthood:

1) Blanche (b 1900 in NC; 18-yrs-old in 1920 Federal census for Walton Co., Fla.).I believe that Blanche married a BRANNAN, and had a home in New Smyrna Beach, Fla. in the 1940's.

2) Madge Brantley (b 1903 in NC; age 7 in 1910 Federal census for Walton Co., Fla.).I believe her married name was RUTHERFORD.

3) Hume or Hannah?(Age 2 in 1910 Federal census for Walton Co).Husband: John Francis Daniel.She died in 1993, and is buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Panama City, Fla.

4) Perry (b 1905 in NC).Possible full name: Ulysses Perry Hinesley or Perry Ulysses Hinesley.I believe he lived in Tallahassee, Fla., and died in 1983.
