Re: Sarah Hinesley of Clarke Co., GA 1835

According to my records the only Hindsley (Hinesley) family in Clarke Co. GA in 1830 was the family of John Hinesley (born perhaps in 1785). He is also listed in the federal census of 1820 in Clarke Co. There is a marriage record of John Hinsely and Mary Huff 25 November 1810 in Clark Co. IN 1820 John is listed as being 26-45 yo. Also in the household were two males under 10, 3 females under ten and a female (Mary?) 26-45. I have names for two of the chilren: 1) Erwin (Irwin) born 1813, married Lucinda Robertson 18 Apr 1838 Clarke Co. Their children were John, Catherine, Lindsey D., Sarah A., Pink, Emma. 2) Mary about whom I know nothing. In the Federal Census 1850 there are three Hinsley households in Clarke Co.: 1) Wiley M. Hinsley, 23 born GA, shoemaker, living in Watkinson District (p. 63); 2) Susan Hinsley, 43, born GA, living in Wild Pat District (p. 75)--listed with her were Eunice I.H.T. Hinsley (21), Abigail W.F. Hinsley (16), William P. Hinsley (6). 3) Erwin Hinsley, 37, born GA, shoemaker, living in Scull District (p. 78)--listed with him are Lucinda (26), John (8), Catherine (10), Lindsey (6-a male), Sarah A. (4), Pink (3), Emma (1). In the Federal Census of 1860 are listed several households: Thomas, Thomas H., Wiley, Erwin. In 1870 there is only Emma listed in Clarke Co. The only candidate in Clarke Co. for the father of your Sarah would be John Hinsley. Perhaps some of this information may be useful in establishing a connection.
