Received copy of Noah Hinman's will from SAMPUBCO.Probated Johnstown, Montgomery County, NY on 5 February 1831.He lived in Charleston, Montgomery County, NY at time of his death (probably at son-in-law Wright Davis' house).Mentions Wright Davis as sole executor. Also mentions George B. Judd, Margaret Anne Judd, and Mattia (Marcia? or Marsha?)Carey. No others mentioned.
Am wondering if Aaron Hinman, b. abt 1776 in Woodbury, Litchfield County, Connecticut; d. 24 July 1813, Sackett's Harbor, NY is one of Noah Hinman's sons.HFA database mentions only Noah and "Lefe" (probably Relief Hinman), but according to census records, there were additional children, including at least one additional son who was less than 16 years of age in 1790 (when Noah Hinman was living in Mohawk, Montgomery County, NY).I believe it is possible that Aaron belongs to Noah: In 1800, Aaron Hinman was living in Paris Twp, Oneida County, NY (also where Aaron's son Timothy was living in 1820).Noah Hinman and his son Noah, Jr. lived in Sherburne, Chenango County, NY in 1810 and 1820.Sherburne used to be part of Paris Twp, Oneida County prior to 1795, so Noah, Noah Jr., and Aaron were living close together at about the same time, and all three individuals originally are from Woodbury, CT.
Any additional info / thoughts on this are greatly appreciated.
