What is the orgin of the Hinrichs name ???

Hi, i was online somewhere and found a person with the name Hinrichten as their handle (username) i asked them if their last name was such, and they replied "No, that means 'execute' in german"---This intrigued me, to say the least.Death has always been a favorite topic of mine ;-)So i looked it up, and sure enough - hinrichten and such words like it all all about the execution of people!So my question is this --- Since i know that most German last names were started by simply taking the word for the family occupation and placing it behind their first name, does that mean that our family is derived from executioners?Any comments are welcome, if you have any researched definite answers that would be appreciated --- any such answers PLEASE e-mail to me as well as replying to this posting.Thank you.
