Hirneisen of Hochdorf to America

By W Cary Anderson August 18, 2001 at 03:20:43

Since 1990, when I began my manuscript; "1738 Emigrant, Michael Katz, born 1738, Hochdorf a. Horb am Neckar, and Other Eighteenth Century Hochdorfer Emigrants", I have been familar with the Hirneisen name.
Five Hirneisens left Hochdorf in 1751 for America. Jerg (b 1731) and Michael (b 1711) are on the ship list of the "Duke of Wirtenburg" that arrived 16 Oct 1751. Jerg has been found with his Katz cousins at Penns Neck, Gloucester Co., NJ.I have not found evidence of Michael (b 1711) nor Michael (b 1737).Anna Mria Hirneisen (b 1751) and Rosina Hirneisen (b 1748) have not been located either.
There were 71 Hochdorfers who left in the Eighteenth Century (1700`s)for America. Many of them have been found in America, but many have not.If you can give any help, it would be appreciated. In a few months the 200 page manuscript will be in final form.I can still add brief notes.
The Nineteenth Century brought many more Hirneisen Emigrants from Hochdorf. So far I have found 19 Emigrants.Later I will discuss my project on the Nineteenth Century Hochdorfers who Emigrated to America.I currently have most of them identified--some 300 left for America in the 1800`s.
