Abraham Hisey was born in Shenandoah Co. Va. 20 Nov. 1793, son of Johannes (John) Hisey and Anna Maria Haas (Mary Ann), who married 9 Oct. 1781 in Shenandoah Co. Va.John Hisey was born in Lancaster Co. Pa. about 1758, son of Christian Hisey (Heisey) and Christina Hackman and died in Shenandoah Co. Va. in early 1803.Anna Maria (Mary Ann) was born in what is now Shenandoah Co. Va. 6 Mar. 1762 daughter of Johannes Haas and his wife, Maria Catherina (Catherine) Kelp Haas.Mary Ann went to Licking Co. Ohio with her son Jonathan after her husband died and died in Licking Co. Ohio, 27 May 1845.

Maria Catherina Kelp (Kolb) mother of Anna Maria Haas Hisey was born in Wolferlingen, Hesse, Germany, 28 Sept. 1729, daughter of Johann Peter Kolb and Maria Gertraut Sanner. She married Johannes Haas about 1756 and died in Shenandoah Co. Va. between 1801 and 1804.Johannes (John) Haas died in 1801.
