I am a direct descendant of Joseph Hixson born 1746 unknown of Frederick and Washington Cos. MD.Below is what I was told and what I have documented to be FACT.

I am interested in Joseph Hixson of Hunterdon Co. NJ who is proposed to have been born in 1678.His father is supposed to be William who was born in England.

People are telling me that Joseph's son, Joseph, Jr., who was born in 1746 is the same Joseph named in SR's Will.I don't believe it because SR would have been 68 years old when JR was born.Not that it can't be done, but it does not seem likely.

Do you have any documentation for the children named on this 1775 Will in Hunterdon Co. NJ for a Joseph Hixson?

Someone has taken my MD Joseph and given him NJ RW service and attached him to this Joseph, Sr. and gone in the DAR.It was accepted.However, I did my homework and found my Joseph doing his RW service in Frederick/Washington Cos. MD. He is also listed as living there on the 1776 census of MD.He first child born in 1766 claims he was born in MD as well.

Any documentation to prove who my Joseph really is would be more than welcome.
