I have the parents of William Slagle Hixson as John and Elizabeth Hixson who lived in Hancock Co., OH in 1825 where William Slagle Hixson was born.In 1850 they were in Randolph Co., VA, and by 1860 they were in Jasper Co., Iowa.
This not by my own research but by someone who sent me the info.
