Mary Hoagland(1784), daughter of John Hoagland of N.Y. City

Mary Hoagland (b.1784) in N.Y. City was the daughter of John Hoagland.she married Thomas Baines Vermilye--a family history states that John Hoagland , was in the Rev. War--the militia--that he lived on Cherry St. in the city when Geo. Washington was billeted next door.He owned a great deal of lower Manhattan...and yet, i can find nothing about this John Hoagland.(who married Susan Pierson ???)...Help!!!any dates or info. would be welcomed...
