Re: Permilia HOBGOOD b. abt. 1815 GA

Fredie, I have been seaching the HOBGOOD family, and I am inclined to believe Frances was a HOBGOOD, and the letter was misread as a P. She was born in GA in 1818. She married in Carroll County,Ga. on Jan 2, 1835 to John Jefferson JONES. Next I see them in Cherokee County. Her children were named Lewis, Deborah, James, Hannah, Sussanah, Seaborn,Charles,Travis, Thomas and Lucretia. They are not listed in chronological order.Deborah was my ancestor. She married Henry Osburn Smith and they left Cherokee County between 1870 and 1873. They were in Drew County,Ar. for the remainder of their lives. They died in 1909.I cannot find another reference to Frances except for the marriage certificate.I have thought of many reasons that could be. Such as using her middle name . Could she have been mary Frances, etc. --Mary
