William Perry Hobson 1841-1904 IN>KS
My mysterious great grandfather, William Perry Hobson, was born 20 July 1841 in Marion County, IN. This information was in the family bible started by he and his wife for their children. I know just about everything there is to know about him from the time that he married my great grandmother, Mary Jane Chastain in 1862. I have a copy of his obituary and will, and know where he's buried (I've even obtained a headstone for his grave from the VA). I also have a copy of his Civil War Pension File. I swear that man must have been found in a cabbage patch because I sure can't find him any parents or siblings . I've tried to no avail to obtain a copy of his birth certificate, but apparently there isn't one to be had. Apparently he lived in the Clinton Co. area during the 1852-1880 time frame, and then took his family to KS during the 1880s and settled in Pratt.
Does this name ring any bells?Does this name ring any bells?Even if it doesn't, I have a lot of unrelated HOBSON correspondence on file. Give me a copy of your descendancy, and I'll be happy to check and see if I've been in contact with anyone that is also researching your line. To date, I've been able to put quite a few other HOBSON researchers in touch with others.
