Hi, Bob
In your post you mention the following:
"Jacob HOCH was born before 1709 in PA."
Do you know who he married and who his children and grandchildren were?I'm trying to find the parents and sibs of my Jacob Hawk, so far with no luck.
Our Jacob was probably born between 1760 and 1780.It is unknown where. He first appears on the 1812 tax list in Warren County, Tennessee, USA.He died abt. 1824.His first child was born in 1800, but he does not show up on any census. His widow and children finally show up on the 1830 census, after his widow remarries, in the household of Martin Johnson, Sr., a widower, previously married to a Combs.
Since we can't find his parents, I'm thinking that maybe he was in the first generation of his family to be born here or he came as a very young boy with his parents to America.
Thanks for any input.
Vicki
