I am researching the GERHART family which also came to Iowa in the 1882.Louis GERHART (b. 5/7/1858 in Roden, GERMANYd. 3/18/1907 Jasper Co., IA)& his wife Johanna/Anna HILDBRANDT (1862-1918) married June 17, 1880 in GERMANY.They moved to Muscarine, IA in 1882, then on to Jasper Co., IA in 1883.They had five children:Louis C., William C., Fred H., Anna M., and Charles F.Please contact me to see if this line matches your information!
