Hi Diane, I apologize for taking so long to reply. It appears that your great grandfather Eli Rich and my great grandfather Isaac Andrew Rich were brothers. Most of what I know is from different family trees I have found on ancestry.com Jabez Rich was married to Sarah Hockett. Their children I have seen listed as Vilena, Mary, Isaac, Eli, Cyrus, Edmond, and Martha. I have researched Isaac Andrew Rich and his marriage to Sarah Jane Hodson. Isaac was born around 1850 in Indiana and married there. The family then migrated to Butler County, Kansas. Of the early Rich's most everything has come from somebody else's tree.It appears that Isaac Rich was at least for awhile a Quaker in Indiana but I do not know if this was true for his other siblings or parents. Sarah Hockett was to have been born 28 July 1825 (where?) She married Jabez Rich 18 Sept. 1844 ? in Indiana. Sarah was the daughter of Eli Hockett and Abigail Hodson or Hodgson. Eli Hockett was the son of Benjamin Hockett and Charity Beals. Abigail was the daughter of John Hodgson and Sarah Johnson. I could give you more, but I do not know how accurate it is.
