Hoggatt who lived in Edgar Co, Illinois (son of Joseph Hoggatt and Ruth Jackson) during the 1850 census went out of his way to express he was a first cousin of John William Hockett son of Samual and Mary (Pinson) Hoggatt.My question is why would John K.
