A deed names a son and a daughter:
Pittsylvania Deed Book vol. 33 p. 149 dated 3 January 1832 Recorded 4 January 1832
Moses Hodges in consideration of the natural love and affection I bear unto my children Sion P. Hodges and Harriet H. Hodges both of Pittsylvania County and for $1.00 the following: 1 set blackmith tools, two feather beds anf furniture, two cows & calves, one loom, one chest, two poles & hooks, one brass kettle, six pewter plates, six basons, a set of knives and forks, one shovel and tongs together with all the tracts of land joining whereon I now live containing 390 acres lying on the water os Bearskin Creek, to have and to hold equally between Sion P. Hodges & Harriet H. Hodges.
