Talk to Me, Hoefflers!

OK, so we are all somehow related to peasants or landholders on larger estates in western/south western Germany/Alsasse/Bayern??Gotta be a connect someplace.
My grandfather was Joseph Hoeffler as was his father.They were from Alsasse/Lotringen and were woodsmen/woodcraftsmen in that area.Came to U.S. in late 1800's and my grandfather and grandmother settled in Cleveland, Ohio:
7118 Lockyear Ave.They had five children:Anne(died), Emily, Fred, Helene and Pauline.
There are a bunch of Hoefflers in Valley City,south of Cleveland, but I have not been able to make any lineal connection with them.So, any ideas?
