Hi Dennis think we have talked before. Here is what I know about my g grabndfather Conrad Hoeffler. He married Elizabeth Roell from Hesse. They emigrated to the U S after the birth of their first child Margueritte on 01 Feb 1864 in Bavaria.Other children included:
John Sigmund b. Dover Tuscarawas Ohio17 Feb. 1866
Mary b. 14 Dec 1867 Dover Tuscarawas Ohio
Catharina b. 12 Sept 1869 Dover Tuscarawas Ohio
Charles 31 July 1871 in Dover Tuscarawas Ohio
John E. b. 06 May 1873 Dover Tuscarawas Ohio

Christina 29 July 1879 birth place unknown.
Otto 19 Oct. 1881 birth place unknown
Josephine MArie 29 July 1883 birth place unknown
Elenora26 Nov. 1885 birth place unknown
I do not have the exact date my Hoefflers left Dover Tuscarawas Ohio and went to Liverpool Medina Ohio nor the exact date they left Liverpool Medina Ohio for North Dakota. In 1907 they left Mandan NOrth Dakota for Pasadena California.
Conrad Hoeffler had a bakery with his brother John in Dover.John and his family went from Dover to Liverpool Ohio, but did not go on to Mandan NOrth Dakota
Conrad Hoeffler applied for his citizenship in Dover, Tucarawas Ohio,
Hope this helps, like you I have been stuck right here for several years, and am out of ideas of where to turn to next. Maybe if everyone poasts as much documented data as they have we can come up with some new leads.
