My Hoefflers came from Bayern and were Roman Catholic.I visited two catholic churches one in Ohio and one in North Dakota where they worshiped.The information about Bayern came from two Census Records where they gave Bayern as their place of birth.The only other clue I have is that the wife Elizabeth Roell was from Hesse she married Conrad Hoeffler.I have no other information about them prior to their coming to the United States circa 1866.At that time they had on daughter Margauritha.
