Mathias Hoefler (b. abt 1847 - 1849 Germany) KS to OK

Hi!

I am looking for information about my g-grandfather's family. His name was Lawrence Hefler (b.20 Feb 1882, KS), but he changed the spelling of his last name from Hoefler to Hefler after leaving home a few times.

Lawrence eventally settled in southern OK (Comanche County to Cotton County), married Martie Shirley and they had 3 children. I've been told that at least some of Lawrence's siblings settled in Shawnee, Pottawatomie County, OK. I have found a Mathias and Ellen/Eleanor (b. abt 1860, PA) Hoefler and children in Pottawatomie County, OK on the 1900 through 1930 census, and the 1880 census from Logan, Dickinson County, KS. They seemed to have had 14 children, most being born in Kansas. My aunt recalls one of the children was named Mary, who never married, and at least 3 boys (1 who worked for Coca-Cola, another in the coal business, and another for the railroad).

Does any of this sound familiar to anyone? Would really like to get more info about Mathias and his wife, so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
