Lots of Hoefflers spread about.I can trace at least some of the family to the southwestern German states-Bayern, etc.
My own branch(Grandfather and his sister with their father and wife)moved to Cleveland, OH area in 1890's.No connections in Ashland, BUT there is a totally separate family branch in Valley City, OH (Medina County south of
Cleveland) with a cemetary full of Hoeffler graves.Just might relate to Jacob and his kin.Try to contact Mike Hoeffler [email protected]
