Re: Hoffmann Family from Germany

I have been trying to get a lead on the Hoffmann family that came to America around 1880.They came from around Berlin. The wife of Julius J. Hoffman (Mary Brunker) came with her son Julius Jr around 1881. Julius Sr. was born in Germany about 1814 and died there in 1879. He had 3 sons Julius J. Jr., John F. Hoffmann (he and his wife and infant daughter came around 1880) and Herman Hoffmann.During WW1 they changed their name to Hoffman. Do you have any of those names in your family.Any help would be appreciated. I wish I knew of someone in Germany that could trace the family.Thanks, Clarice Hoffman
