Hi im sorry its taken so long to get back to u but with all this "log in" stuff u have to do to post a message its a pain so i dont bother with it often.I assume they needed a passport to go to La because they were crossing CREEK NATION. the passport was dated 12-4-1810 it was issused for him self his mother wife and one child.on the 1812 St. Tammant tax list williams house hold lists 1 man 2 women and 1 child.the Name Tabitha appearson a list of land claimantsfor St. Tammany Parish in march of 1817. we have no solid proof that this tabitha is williams mother but it seems to be a good guess that she is.as this Tabitha also attended the same church as william.also there is a Susannah Hogan in the area that attends the same church she is married to a Robertson.((sorry so vague i do not have those notes infront of me))at any rate this is what we have and we are trying to find williams forefathers and also trying to figue out if this susannah and tabitha are actually related to him.
thanks Charity
