Re: Hogg / Hogue in Ohio

I'm not sure we have the same HOGG/HOGUE family but I have a James HOGG born 1785 to Robert and Mary (Jackson) HOGG. They began spelling their name HOGUE within the next couple of generations. I am descended from this Robert through son Hugh and his wife Mary Patterson. They had a son Samuel who eventually ended up in Sparta, Wisconsin where he and his wife Isabella Johnson were married and raised their family. This HOGG?HOGUE family was originally from Scotland, then to Pennsylvania, and next Ohio. If I can be of any help, let me know.
