HOLDING / GARDNER in Birmingham, Eng.

I had posted earlier about William Frederick Holding of Manchester, Eng.Now it turns out that location was a red herring, and I've finally found them near Birmingham in the 1881 census.

William HOLDING (b.abt.1837 in W. Bromwich, Stafford) mar. Charlotte GARDNER (b.abt.1843 in Handsworth, Stafford).Had 5 children:

Louisa (1864), Wm. Frederick (1865), Henry B. (1868), Elliott J. (1875), Charlotte E. (1879).Louisa was b. in Birmingham, the rest in W. Bromwich.

All moved to Allegany Co., PA in the 1880s - the parents and young Charlotte were still there in 1910, but it looks like the three sons all moved to the Bronx after 1891.
