My Holdings come from Lancs originally. Thomas Holding was born in Lancs in 1814/15 and his brother William was born in 1820/21. Their father was Thomas Holding a farmer from Lancs. Both brothers left Lancs in the 1840's and moved to Wolverton, BUCKS and then to Northampton in the 1850's. Unfortunately, I don't know which Town in Lancs they came from, they give their place of birth on the census differently on each occasion, ie Oldham, Bolton and Preston.
