Hi Mike,
The will is in Will Book J, Scott County KY courthouse.
It's dated Jan.1845
Know all men by these present that I John Holding of the county of Scott and State of Kentucky being of sound mind and memory and knowing the uncertainty of life do, make this my last will and testament, until reworked or changed by myself.
I will my beloved wife Mary Holding after all my just debts are paid, have the one third part of all my estate so long as she lives and at her death to be equally divided among all my children.
I will my son John Holding have five dollars only.
I will John Herndon have the benefit of that part of my estate that my son Richard Holding and Caleb Holding and Samuel Holding and Elliot Roszel my grandson sold to him and no more.
I will my son Benjamin Holding have his ninth part of all my estate and Nancy Roszels Heirs the same and Milly Williams and her heirs the same part and Joshuary Holdingthe same part and Elizabeth Cox my daughter and her heirs the same and if either of these last named should die leaving no heirs, their part is to be divided among themselves.
I will that at my death there be a sale or a division of all my property.
I will John Herndon,David Nutter,Joseph Sutton be my executors.In Testimony whereof I hereby acknowledge this to be my last act and deed.
Given under my hand and seal this 22nd of June 1833.
