Re: Holding/Holden Family

I am looking for information on Richard HOLDEN who was mentioned in the previous post. I know that one of his sons, Robert HOLDING (b.Apr. 7, 1857 in Liverpool) came to the U.S. and lived in Portland, ME and later San Francisco, CA where he died February 21, 1931. It has been muddy going trying to trace this part of my family and just by luck a copy of a death certificate came into my posession naming Robert's father as Richard. Robert's mother was listed as Unknown. Any information you can pass on regarding Robert HOLDING (name changed here in the states) and his father, Richard HOLDEN would be very much appreciated!
