Re: Valentine Hollingsworth 1735- ca 1783
Bill: This lady, after all I could put into it at the time, was a Lanier, and came south from N.Caro. the Cape Fear region,in 1770 with the three brothers,Zebulon(who was my ancestor),Valentine(who was -M- to Vear),and Timothy,(who subsequently went to Florida).
Suggest you get a copy of "the Hollingsworths of Screven Co,Ga." by Clyde Dixon Holl.
available at LDS. The Hollingsworths of Pickens Co.,Ala. may help. I got it from
Sarah Lanier Hollingsworth in Washington State who is also interested in these Laniers
as she bears the name. A land line address will get you a copy. This line of Hollingsworths were from Val,the immigrant by way of:Val,(Vears wife),Stephen,Henry, and Valentine,Henry 'A'. The 'A' denotes Henry of Ireland who never came to America. I'm sure there is much more out there on the net. Regards,Elton
