Anitra, I checked several census years for Albert Holmes with no luck. He is on the 1930 census with his wife but I only have the index for that year. You might want to ask for a 1930 census lokup on the Records Lookup Forum. I did find the Thaxtons in 1900, 1910 & 1880. If you need this info, let me know & I will type it up.

Albert Holmes is on the SSDI. You can see that info at http://www.familysearch.org/http://www.familysearch.org/ as well as the 1880 census for Lawrence Thaxton in Poca, Kanwha Co., W.VA. He is the father of Estella. You can send for the SS5 form that Albert Holmes filled out when he applied for SS. It should have his parent`s names on it, if you don`t have them already. The cost for the SS5 from Social Security is $27.
