Re: Albert Stover Holmes born 1902 in WV

Anitra, here are the census records from 1900, 1910 & 1920 for the Thaxtons. Their next door neighbor in 1920 is Santford Holmes. Wife is Rosa;I`m sure this is Estell`s older sister.
I checked for Holmes in Charleston in 1920 & did find one family with a son Albert. I typed it up below. I can`t find them in 1910. In 1900 this James Holmes, age 29, is in the Poca Dist.pg. 228 with a son Sandford, age 7, son Lewis, age 5, son Soloman, age 4 & dau. Lena, age 1. His wife is not Martha, though, it looks like Linnie F., age 31. Probably the same woman as in 1920. I think this has to be your Albert`s family.
