Yes, Peter Hoop, Jr (who went to Highland County, Ohio) was the son of Peter Hoop, Sr of Shenandoah County, VA.

1816 - In 1816 Highland County, Ohio - John Smith held a mortgage on 86 acres belonging to Peter Hoop.

1819 - Peter Hoop dies in 1819

1830 - John Smith sued the heirs of Peter Hoop, dec'd, to foreclose on a mortgage. Desendent heirs are:
John, Samuel, William, Catherine, Susannah, Sarah, Peter, George, Ferguson and LEWIS Hoop.
Notes that John Hoop is in Indiana.
