Michael,
I usually go over to Ireland once or twice a year, but there are so many records to look at in Dublin, I seldom have time to visit Cork.I saw recently that in addition to the Presbyterian Charity School 1821-25 mention of Nathaniel & Samuel Hornibrook & 1821-1826 relief fund payment to I. Hornibrook and his widow, the Hornibrook surname was also in the 1717-1750 register.I’m assuming this is what you will be looking at, and it should be helpful in your research.
I only remember coming across one male Hornibrook, whose first name started with “I” in the many parish records I looked at, and here is the entry from my database.
RCB Parish Records 1695-1796 Ballymodan (Bandon)
Baptisms
Day Month Year PgSURNAMEFIRST NAMEParents
18May1759 109 HORNIBROOKIsaacJohn Hornibrook
Since it looks like many Bandonites moved to Cork and joined the Presbyterian Meeting House, this might be same person.
In connection with your line, I found the following in Dublin at the National Library:
Thomas Directory (Dublin)
Heading - Nobility, Gentry, merchants & traders
(no Hornibrooks 1844, 1845, 1847, 1855, 1860)
1849 & 1850 - Hornibrook, Nathaniel, agent to messrs. Blackie & Co. publishers, 68 Marlborough St & Seapoint terrace, Irishtown
Good luck in your research.
Eileen
